Croatia's EURO 2024 Hopes Take Another Hit

After a Difficult Start to the European Championship

The second set of UEFA EURO 2024 group games are now under way, meaning the round of 16 is beginning to take shape. Croatia, who were one of the favorites to win the tournament, have endured a difficult start and their hopes of reaching the latter stages are hanging by a thread.

In their opening game, Croatia were beaten 3-0 by Spain in a dominant performance from the Spaniards. Alvaro Morata, Fabian Ruiz, and Dani Carvajal all scored for Spain in the first half, as Croatia struggled to create any clear-cut chances.

The Croatia Euro 2024 squad remains an exciting one, but they will need to improve their performances significantly if they want to reach the latter stages of the tournament.
